FSCS appoints director of operations

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has appointed Kate Bartlett director of operations.

She will join the FSCS on 1 February 2010 to head up all aspects of the compensation process. The role is a board position so the FSA has also appointed Bartlett executive director of the FSCS. Bartlett comes to the role with 15 years experience working in financial services, including on IT projects at Andersen Consulting and Cazenove, and in senior positions at UBS in service delivery, programme management, IT, change management, contract negotiation and outsourcing.
