Commission payouts are still at the forefront of advisers' minds despite the recent focus on fee-based structures in the RDR.
Around 80% of advisers surveyed by Assureweb admitted to being concerned about the impact the economic downturn will continue to have on their commission levels. The survey also found more than a third of advisers (37%) feel less confident about their businesses than they did twelve months ago. A total of 84% cited bureaucracy as the biggest issue which they faced over the next year, with increasing red-tape a serious concern.
