Société Générale unveils latest struc prod

Société Générale has launched a listed structured product designed for investors seeking higher returns than those from a savings account.

Traded on the London Stock Exchange, the FTSE Income Protection 3000 provides investors with a guaranteed fixed income of 1.7%. The firm believes the rate is roughly double that of interest receivable on a normal savings account a quarter per £1,000 certificate for the next 18 months. The guaranteed fixed income coupons are unaffected by movements in the FTSE 100 index. At maturity £1,000 per certificate will be fully repaid providing the FTSE 100 index never closes at or below the 3,000 level during the 18 month term.
