Skandia to sponsor golf Senior Open Championship

Skandia has joined forces with the European Senior Golf Tour to become an official sponsor of the 2009 Senior Open Championship presented by MasterCard and a partner sponsor of the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters.

The group says its research shows financial advisers want Skandia to develop its consumer brand to help support their sales process and this new sponsorship activity forms part of that strategy. This partnership is Skandia’s first foray into tournament golf sponsorship, which builds on its position as Sky Sports’ golf and sailing broadcast sponsor.
