CII toughens corporate chartered criteria

Firms wishing to obtain Corporate Chartered status will need to meet broader and stricter criteria after the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) toughened its eligibility rules.

As well as meeting six compulsory criteria, firms will also need to gain a minimum of 50 points by meeting new, ‘discretionary' rules. These include the percentage of financial advisers individually holding the Chartered Financial Planner title (10-30 points), and the percentage of board or management individually holding the Chartered Financial Planner title (25-50 points).
