Sesame pilots CII study programme

Sesame is piloting a study programme to support advisers taking the CII's J01 exam this October in a bid to increase pass rates.

According to the network, on average only about half of candidates across the industry pass the CII's Diploma (J0) exams. In 2008 the pass rate for J01 was 53%, while overall just 45% of candidates pass the CII Diploma exams. Sesame's pilot programme, which is aimed at Sesame members and users of the Sesame network, will help advisers build their technical knowledge and refine their exam technique, through a combination of e-learning and face-to-face workshops run by CII-accredited training providers.
