Investors face risk/reward dilemma in search for income

The majority of investors will be increasing their risk appetite in order to maintain or increase capital, according to Allianz Global Investors.

A survey of advisers by AGI reveals a risk/reward dilemma, in which 62% of advisers think it will be necessary for investors to increase their risk appetite, despite 65% of them believing their clients' risk appetite has decreased in the past six months. "This has been an age-old conundrum in the world of investment, however the current economic situation has amplified this," says Nick Smith, a managing director of Allianz Global Investors Europe.
