THE FSA, stung into action by accusations of failure to properly communicate policy to retail firms, has established a working party to improve its record in the area.
The Retail Savings Regulatory Strategy Group was set up following criticism from a number of areas, including accusations from its own practitioner panel, that it was failing to make clear what was expected of firms to conform to major initiatives such as Treating Customers Fairly. It comprises members of financial services firms, among them Fidelity managing director Richard Wastcoat and Stanley Lovell of IFA group On-Line Partnership, consumer groups and statutory bodies.
