Exweb transactions up 50pc in '07

THE Exchange has announced that business transactions via its Exweb adviser portal have increased by over 50pc, from 170,148 to 256,880, in the 12 months to the end of October.

Since its 2005 launch, the e-commerce services provider has processed over 650,000 applications for thousands of intermediaries across multiple product groups. New business figures from The Exchange have also revealed record online quotations, with over 127 million quotations provided to advisers through Exweb in 2007, up 22pc on last year. The findings also show a record monthly total for online new business - 25,360 online new business applications were completed on Exweb in October 2007 - a rise of 32pc over the same period of 2006, and ahead of the previous monthly record of 22,700 ...
