AI is increasingly shaping the future of financial services

Most consumers are using artificial intelligence to make decisions, according to new research, but trust issues remain, creating opportunities for advisers to embrace the tech while focusing on a superior human service.

Eight in ten consumers are using an AI assistant at least three times a week, while six in ten use it to help make decisions, the independent consumer research from Defaqto, carried out by Savanta, found. More people are using AI-powered tools than going directly to a provider or speaking with a financial adviser as a source when making financial decisions, the research found.
