L&G Growth Trust awarded OBSR A rating

The Legal & General Growth Trust has been awarded an A rating by OBSR in recognition of consistently producing the returns it aims to deliver.

The Growth Trust is an actively managed UK equity fund run by Legal & General's head of UK equities, Robert Churchlow. The fund is first quartile in the IMA UK All Companies sector over three years, having returned 30pc (bid-to-bid, according to Lipper, 27.08.08). Churchlow cherry picks 25 best ideas mainly from the FTSE 350. The stocks are selected on a bottom-up basis with a major emphasis on fundamental research and company meetings.
