Capita obtains IFA provider

CAPITA has bought Synaptic Systems, a provider of research information and software to IFAs.

Bosses described the move as a major step towards developing a “fully integrated and e-enabled solution for professional advisers”. The deal comes on the back of the launch of Capita’s Enabler programme, which is being delivered through other recent acquisitions, Webline and Quay Software. Capita said Synaptic’s tools and data are used by more than 10,000 IFAs and product providers and its purchase moved Capita closer to its goal of delivering a complete back office and administrative service to advisers.
