Sants to replace Tiner at FSA

THE FSA has appointed Hector Sants as its new chief executive to succeed John Tiner who steps down following the regulator's annual public meeting on 19 July.

Sants has been at the FSA since May 2004, and is currently managing director of wholesales and institutional markets. Prior to this he was at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he held the position of chief executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He will take up his new role immediately following Tiner’s departure.
