IN A bid to rid the commercial environment of unnecessary, outdated and inflexible rules, the AIC has proposed the FSA conduct a wide-ranging review of its listing rules.
Such a review could lead to significant commercial benefits for UK businesses and enhance the position of the City as an international financial centre. The recommendation is part of the AIC’s response to the FSA’s invitation for views on the dedicated investment company Listing Rules. The AIC supports the constructive way in which the FSA has approached reform of these rules and is particularly in favour of the shift towards principles-based regulation.
