Easier2Protect to cover costs of aborted transactions

Easier2Move is launching a new product to cover the costs incurred by home movers and their advisers when a house purchase is aborted.

The firm says around 27% of home purchases are aborted in the current market, and the Easier2Protect service will give peace of mind to those moving home. Easier2Protect users will be insured against costs incurred from mortgage arrangement fees, valuations and legal fees if a property transaction collapses through no fault of their own. Coverage includes mortgage arrangement fees up to £500, valuation fees up to £750 and legal services up to £600. The company estimates around £350bn is lost every year due to aborted transactions.
