The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has released pension and benefit rates for 2005-06, revealing an increase in the full basic state pension from £79.60 to £82.05.
Compensation entitlement for a married woman has increased from £47.65 in 2004 to £49.15 for 2005, while for a couple, the figure has increased from £127.25 to £131.20, starting today. The DWP adds, Pension Credit is up to £109.45 from the previous amount of £105.45 for a single person, with couples now receiving £167.05, from £160.95 in 2004.
