Wrap to centre the IFA Nucleus

There will be a new entrant into the wrap platform space later this year following the creation of a new business with IFA backing.

The Nucleus Financial Group is the brainchild of David Ferguson and Phillip Martin - directors of financial services consultancy the Abacus Group - and has been created to deliver an IFA-led “business with a wrap platform in it”. A consortium of seven IFA firms, set to be named next week, have given their financial backing and hold 51% of the shareholding as a result to the creation of an independent wrap platform, alongside financial support from South African insurer Sanlam and its UK subsidiary Merchant Investors, which will operate as the central technology system to all of the interm...
