Housing prices reveal stability - RICS

House prices are now stabilising thanks to recent consistency in base interest rates and even though property prices dropped in January, suggests RICS.

Although house prices continue to decline for a sixth consecutive month, the monthly survey conducted by The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) reveals the rate at which housing prices fell in January eased to its slowest rate in four months. That said, the number of newly agreed sales for January increased, marking the first time since April last year.
