Half of IFAs say 'we will never retire'

Nearly 50% of IFAs will never retire, according to a poll run by IFAonline.

Just over 11% will retire by age 70; about 20% by age 65; 13% by 60, and 5.6% by 55, the poll found. Commenting on the results, Chris Cummings, director general of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA), says: “It is probably because they love the job. "It’s one of the most interesting and intellectually stimulating jobs you could have. "If you enjoy meeting people and looking to help people plan for their financial future you couldn’t find a more stimulating position.
