The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries has published a training and competence factsheet, following the Financial Services Authority's review of the quality of mortgage advice processes.
The FSA’s report urges firms to review their training and competence (T&C) procedures to ensure they are appropriate and are being properly used by the firm. AMI’s factsheet, Achieving and evidencing competent mortgage adviser status, aims to provide straightforward steps for mortgage intermediaries to design, implement and monitor a T&C scheme for their mortgage advisers.
