The Parliamentary Ombudsman has criticised the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for failing to implement her recommendations.
In her 2005-06 annual report, ‘Making a Difference’, Parliamentary Ombudsman Ann Abraham praises some government departments and a number of NHS organisations for responding “constructively” to her investigations and reports. But she says in the last year while almost all of her recommendations were complied with, she criticised two government departments for "taking a negative and defensive approach to her investigations", one of which she names as the DWP.
