Sesame has called for clear lines of responsibility when clients cannot afford their mortgage as it notes a surge in complaints against brokers.
Sesame says it is concerned mortgage advisers might be left to carry responsibility for consumers that are no longer able to afford their repayments as a result of turbulence in the mortgage market. As a result of rising complaints, Sesame has published a white paper to stimulate debate and to help mortgage brokers protect themselves.
