High demand for CII lifetime mortgage exam entry

Entries for the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) new examination on lifetime mortgages have exceeded expectations rising to beyond 750 entries.

The CII says there were 219 entries for the first examination session in April, with a further 403 entries for the exam to be held on 19 July and another 133 entries so far for the 18 October examination. The announcement has been viewed positively by the Society of Mortgage Professionals chief executive, Richard Fox, who says: “The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has the equity release market firmly in its sights and has already issued warning about unsuitable advice following its recent mystery shopping exercise. “I strongly urge all advisers to complete the CII’s CF7 lifetime ...
