FriendsProv to target 'wrap panels'

Friends Provident will launch its wrap platform in June 2007 but will only roll it out initially to its "strategic partner" distribution links building wrap panels.

Following the initial announcement yesterday, officials at Friends Provident say its usage will be restricted to firms it already works with as “strategic partners” and aimed at intermediaries with high-net-worth clients, before it considers offering the proposition to the wider consumer. Perhaps more importantly, however, preliminary discussions with firms indicates Friends Provident is seeking to become one of a handful of platforms the intermediary will adopt.
