DTI's Haddrill named ABI director general

Stephen Haddrill, director general of the DTI's Fair Markets Group has just been announced as the new ABI director general.

Haddrill will join the Association of British Insurers on May 3rd, succeeding Mary Francis, and has extensive knowledge of the financial services industry thanks to his time at the DTI. Previous positions at the DTI also included director of employment relations and director of consumer affairs, having also worked in the Central Policy Unit in Hong Kong and the Department of Energy.
