House price inflation steady - DCLG

Annual house price inflation in the UK fell from 3.4% in February to 3.3% in March, according to the latest data from the Department for Communities and Local Government. (DCLG)

The DCLG says prices rose by 2% between February and March, compared to a rise of 2.1% seen over the same period last year. It says the rise in UK prices between February and March were seen in all property types. Flats in particular for flats saw a rise of 7.7% in prices after a fall of 4.8% the previous month while terraced houses rose 1.7% and semi-detached houses saw an increase of 1%. The fall in house price inflation was felt across the whole of the UK in March.
