The Apprentice candidates gatecrash Axa offices

Staff at Axa received a shock when contestants taking part in hit BBC show The Apprentice gatecrashed their London offices to sell them lunch.

The visit, which was filmed last October and will be screened next week, took place at the insurer's Old Broad Street offices. As part of their task, male and female teams had to pitch their salad and sandwich ideas to staff for the right to provide lunch for the whole team. "It was a little bit manic," a spokesperson says. "The girls had to provide lunch for our meeting rooms and sold to staff at their desks too. "They were bringing round wraps, salads, sandwiches. It was complete mayhem to be honest."
