'Truth' tool shows reality of client goals

A financial planning software system has been launched which enables advisers to demonstrate to clients whether their current financial circumstances will allow them to meet their future lifestyle objectives.

The ‘Truth’ software package – created by IFA Paul Etheridge, founder of the Prestwood Group, and promoted by IFA Paul Armson – involves three steps: lifestyle planning, financial planning and identifying the most appropriate products. IFAs using the tool begin by asking their clients what they are trying to achieve out of life – for example when they would like to retire and where they would like to live – and what their current income and expenditure is.
