Moret first lifetime member of SPG

John Moret has been elected as the SIPP Provider Groups' first lifetime member.

Moret, currently director of sales and marketing at Suffolk Life, was a founding member of the SPG in 1991, acting as its inaugural chairman. Commenting on the recognition from his peers, Moret says: “I have been involved with SIPPs since the very first product was launched in 1990 and I was also heavily involved in shaping the income drawdown regime in 1995.” He adds that the SIPP market is in a healthy state with A-day changes set to fuel massive growth in this market. “My projection in 1999 of half a million SIPPs by 2010 looks to be a dramatic underestimate,” he concludes.
