Sharp upturn in tailored product requests - Barclays Wealth

IFAs are increasingly demanding tailored products for high net worth clients, according to Barclays Wealth.

Barclays says it has seen a sharp upturn in requests to invest large sums linked to overseas indices or emerging markets. Demand has also risen for investments with tailored pay-offs, Barclays says, with IFAs seeking capital protection but differening levels of upside gearing. Barclays has designed protected investments with links to specific funds and baskets of indices, including the FTSE EPRA, Morgan Stanley Taiwan, DJ AIG Commodities, and various iShares and ETFs.
