Credit Suisse's Norris to replace Kenmir as FSA COO

The FSA has appointed Mark Norris as chief operating officer (COO).

Norris, who joins from Credit Suisse's UK private banking business, will be responsible for all aspects of finance, planning, project management, facilities and information systems. He will take over from David Kenmir, who announced his decision to leave the FSA in July to pursue other opportunities. Kenmir joined the City regulator in June 1998 from one of its predecessor organisations, the Securities and Futures Authority, where he was executive director of the authorisation and business conduct division.
