The Conservative Party has been challenged to a public debate on the pros and cons of Home Information Packs (HIPs), by HIP Payment Services.
Jeff Smith, chief executive of HIP Payment Services, accuses the Tories of deceiving the public by using celebrity star Kirstie Allsopp to champion the anti-HIP campaign. Smith challenged the Conservatives to reveal how they would improve the home buying and selling process without using HIPs, as part of a public debate to be held in the New Year.
