Sesame symposium to respond to RDR

Sesame will use its second national conference on 27 November to discuss responses to the RDR Feedback Statement, due to be released two days before.

Keynote speakers will include AIFA chairman John Gummer MP and Amanda Bowe, FSA head of the RDR. Otto Thoresen, chief executive at Aegon Scottish Equitable, and Olympic rower James Cracknell OBE will also be speaking. Over 400 financial advisers are expected to attend the event which will be held at Park Plaza, Riverbank Hotel in London. While the impact of the economic crisis will be a key theme at the conference, other topics covered will include: the future of the mortgage market, evolving adviser business models and fund managers’ outlooks and investment strategies.
