Tom Drury has stood down as Vertex managing director following the completion of the company's sale to a consortium of three US investment firms.
It was revealed in January that Vertex – the business processing outsourcing subsidiary of United Utilities – and all its business lines, including The Exchange and 1st Software, had been sold to a consortium of three US-based private equity firms. The deal has now been completed, but the company will continue to trade as Vertex Data Science Limited, wholly owned by VTX Bidco Limited – a company established specifically for the purposes of the acquisition.
