Sesame launches free tax planning seminars

Demand for guidance on tax planning has prompted IFA support firm Sesame to launch a series of free seminars for advisers to run throughout September.

The firm says a study conducted with 450 advisers by Sesame Learning suggests 43% believe the biggest barrier to IHT planning was their lack of technical knowledge on the subject. In addition, 36% of IFAs said they felt it was their clients’ unwillingness to address issues surrounding mortality that was the greatest hurdle to overcome. Sesame says the 21 seminars, which will start on September 4 in Dundee, Scotland and end on September 27 in Shrewsbury, aim to “enhance advisers’ technical knowledge, and therefore their confidence, in identifying the most appropriate solutions for thei...
