BTL landlords undeterred by HMO licensing

Confidence among residential property investors remains high despite the onset of houses in multiple occupancy licensing, research from Paragon Mortgages reveals.

It says landlords have seen an increase in tenant demand and rising achievable rents over the past six months. One quarter of landlords reported that tenant demand for residential property is currently increasing, with two thirds saying that it is stable. And buoyant tenant demand is having a knock-on effect on rents, with 38.5% of landlords reporting achievable rents have increased over the last six months.
