Sesame unqualified IFA support staff to sell GI and ASU

Sesame is offering to train unqualified IFA support staff with its member firms to sell general insurance (GI).

The IFA network says it can provide non-regulated staff with the knowledge, skills and permissions to offer advice to clients on buildings and contents insurance, as well as accident, sickness and unemployment (ASU) cover. It says the scheme, optional for members, can help firms add revenue streams and drive up profits. Roll-out of the programme follows a pilot exercise that saw 30 non-regulated staff trained earlier this year.
