Emerging markets will top 2008 - IFAs

IFAs see the emerging markets as the best region for outperformace in 2008, a new poll reveals.

The fifth annual Association of Investment Companies (AIC) and Unbiased.co.uk survey found 35% of IFAs believe the emerging markets will perform best, while just 9% of fund managers share the same confidence in the region. Fund managers are more confident in the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) sector, with 27% favouring the region, compared with 18% of IFAs. The managers also have more faith in Japan, with 14% expecting the region to bounce back in favour, while only 3% of IFAs share the sentiment.
