Baillie Gifford’s workforce is set to shrink by approximately 10% following a voluntary exit programme, PA's sister title Investment Week understands.

The £197bn Edinburgh-based asset manager offered UK staff a voluntary exit programme this summer, giving them the option to leave on "enhanced terms". Baillie Gifford confirmed that programme has now concluded and, while the firm has not revealed the exact number of staff departures, Investment Week understands that around 160 jobs have been eliminated – roughly 10% of the 1,607 worldwide employees it boasted as of 31 March.
