Norwich Union has announced a number of changes to its senior management team, including the replacement for the chief executive of Norwich Union Life (NUL).
Following the decision by Gary Withers, to leave the company, Mark Hodges, currently managing director of Norwich Union Insurance will take over his role as chief executive of NUL, while Simon Machell, currently managing director of RAC, will become chief executive of Norwich Union Insurance. The changes will come into effect from 3 April, subject to regulatory approval, and in their new roles, Hodges and Machell will report to Patrick Snowball, executive chairman of Norwich Union and executive director of Aviva, with responsibility for the group’s UK insurance businesses.
