Charcol founders buy adviser firm from B&B

Bradford and Bingley has this morning confirmed the sale of mortgage adviser firm Charcol in a management buyout involving two of its founders.

On the same day the firm celebrated its 30th anniversary, B&B revealed John Garfield is rejoining the firm as executive chairman alongside Charles Wishart who also helped to set up the firm. New World Corporate Finance helped to secured the venture capital deal which was backed by Advantage Capital and Jon Moulton. Among the “new” recruits at Charcol is Peter Barrett as managing director who will have a specific focus on sales.
