Royal London keeps brands but merges protection teams

Royal London has pledged to continue a multi-brand approach in its protection operation despite today announcing a single management team will oversee both Bright Grey and Scottish Provident.

John Deane, chief executive of Royal London's intermediary division, says having two businesses "is working well" and remains a "competitive advantage" for Royal London. Group head of communications Alasdair Buchanan adds advisers and customers will continue to deal with Bright Grey and Scottish Provident as separate companies.
