Assureweb, a comparison website, is launching an annuity service to offer IFAs free, real-time quotes.
The service helps advisers to obtain quotes from Canada Life, Legal & General, Norwich Union, and Tomorrow. A statement from Assureweb says eight other providers will offer indicative annuity rates and most plan to offer guaranteed rates in the coming months. IFAs will also gain direct access from the service to supporting product information for all providers. The move follows Assureweb’s £7.5m shareholder investment in April to redevelop its information technology platform.
