The FTSE 100 has made a recovery from yesterday's losses with the UK benchmark index trading about 13 points higher at 4,731.
Tesco leads the recovery, up 9p to 307p. Third-quarter sales added 12% as the company expanded overseas while adding products like DVDs to its arsenal. The UK’s largest steelmaker Corus is trading well, picking up 1.25p to 54.75p. Barclays leads today’s fallers losing 12.5p to 548p after an announcement by chief executive John Varley that pretax profit for the fiscal year will be in line with analysts' estimates. Pest control firm, Rentokil is off by 2p to 155p, after a share downgrade by analysts at Morgan Stanley. In Japan shares in the steelmakers flourished led by JFE Holdings....
