A third have 'never reviewed protection needs'

Nearly one third of consumers have never reviewed their protection needs, suggests research from Aegon Scottish Equitable.

The survey of people’s attitude to financial protection comes ahead of an underwriting and claims education campaign by Scottish Equitable at the end of September. Of the 1,536 people surveyed 32% said they have never reviewed their protection needs, while 24% reviewed their needs over a year ago, 14% reviewed them six to 12 months ago, 12% reviewed them three to six months ago and 18% did so within the last three months.
