Miners drag FTSE lower

The FTSE 100 is down 5.8 points, or 0.09%, to 6,305.1, in early trading with the mining sector leading the decline.

Antofagasta is currently the biggest drag on the index with a fall of 2.81% to 501.5p, closely followed by Vedanta Resources which has dropped 2.68% to £11.97, while Xstrata has slipped 2.65% to £25.01. Drax Group is also down 2.24% to 786.5p, closely followed by miner Kazakhmys which has fallen 2.14% to £11, although losses are being limited by Cable and Wireless which has climbed 0.63% to 160.75p. DSG International is posting the biggest gains with a rise of 1.66% to 198.75p, closely followed by Next which is up 1.03% to £18.61, while Royal Bank of Scotland has climbed 0.83% to £20....
