Glasgow-based friendly society Scottish Friendly Assurance has revealed a new direction in the financial services arena to deliver wrapped savings and third-party administration.
The firm has in the past held the image of a traditional friendly society offering low-cost tax-free savings but is now making a major venture into the wrap space following the appointment of key individuals to the firm. Fiona McBain was promoted to chief executive in January 2006 and is now spearheading a shift in the company’s growth and brand towards wrap product outsourcing, aided by the arrival of sales and marketing director Neil Lovatt, who joined the firm from Scottish Life last month.
