McGee moves his lobbying skills to Aegon

Francis McGee, the ABI's head of regulation and strategy, is leaving the trade body in the summer to join Aegon UK as head of corporate affairs.

Working alongside Laurie Edmans, director of corporate development, McGee will continue in the political arena and develop and manage the group’s lobbying and public affairs agenda. He will also work with Aegon’s existing lobbying team which includes Stewart Ritchie and Peter Williams. McGee has worked at the ABI since 2001 and has played a central role in its response to many important regulatory reviews, such as depolarisation and the Sandler Review, and was involved in the project, which identified the UK’s £27bn savings gap.
