Invesco's Kitchen hands over fund reins

Graham Kitchen, manager of the £710m Invesco Perpetual Income and Growth fund, has handed over control of the unit trust to Andy Jones, another member in the company's stable of UK Equities managers.

Kitchen will leave Invesco by September, but day-to-day running of the fund has been handed over with immediate effect. Invesco says the transition will be “smooth” – a view echoed by analysts at Chartwell Asset Management in a note sent to clients yesterday – and the UK Equities team will continue to function under the guidance of Neil Woodford. Kitchen is quoted as saying he is “confident that the interests of investors are left in extremely capable hands.” IFAonline
