Standard Life appoints distribution director

Standard Life has appointed Stephen Ingledew as distribution strategy director.

Ingledew, who starts work on November 1, will develop and deliver strategic distribution deals. He will report to managing director Paul Matthews. Ingledew joins from Barclays Financial Planning where he held the commercial director role for more than three years. Before joining Barclays Financial Planning he worked as chief executive of adviser Berkeley Berry Birch from 2000 until 2004.
